Education
Training is something a person enrols on and is certified for. Education is the longer relationship — with a college department, a campus, a workforce or a neighbourhood — that has no enrolment date and no certificate at the end of it.
How this differs from training
No enrolment date, no certificate at the end
We establish Knowledge Centres inside universities and colleges under memorandum, to upgrade and support what a department can already do rather than to run a course alongside it. Ashrita Enviro Centres work the same way, giving students access to laboratory capability, live project work and industry mentorship from inside their own institution.
The rest is awareness work: campus, community and workforce programmes aimed at behaviour that holds after the campaign ends, and guidance for students trying to find a route into a sector that is not well signposted.
