Ashrita Bio Foundation has collaborated with a technology partner to introduce BSF composting for better organic waste management.
Ashrita Bio Foundation has collaborated with a technology partner for a novel composting system using Black Soldier Fly (BSF), enabling better organic waste management.
BSF composting offers a faster, higher-yield route for treating organic fractions than conventional windrow composting, and produces a protein co-product alongside the compost — improving the economics of decentralised organic waste treatment.
The system is now offered as part of AIWMR's organic waste consultancy practice, and forms part of the Community Composting training programme.
