What this programme is for
Waste attracts founders because the problem is visible and the social case is obvious. Most waste ventures fail anyway, and they fail for unglamorous reasons: the gate fee assumption was wrong, the material market moved, or the model depended on labour it could not retain.
This day is about building something that lasts. It covers unit economics honestly, the funding routes available to social enterprises in India, and the real trade-offs between social impact and financial viability — including the ones that cannot be resolved, only chosen.
